Comparison
Intruder vs ScanBastion: continuous monitoring or client website assessments?
Intruder is a continuous vulnerability-management and attack-surface platform: it watches internet-facing infrastructure, cloud accounts and applications, and alerts on new exposures. ScanBastion is a website vulnerability scanner for agencies and consultants who assess client sites and deliver a report. They overlap on web application scanning and differ on almost everything else.

When Intruder is the better choice
- You are protecting your own estate. Continuous monitoring of infrastructure, cloud accounts and containers, with alerts when something new appears, is what Intruder is for.
- You need emerging-threat scans and schedules. When a new critical vulnerability is published, a monitoring platform checks for it. ScanBastion runs scans when you start them.
- You need integrations, internal agents and attack-surface discovery.
When ScanBastion fits better
- Your targets are other people's websites. An agency maintaining client sites needs to verify authorisation per domain, assess each site, and hand each client its own report. That is ScanBastion's whole workflow.
- You need to know the price before a sales call. ScanBastion's plans are published: five sites for $19 a month, fifteen for $59, fifty for $149.
- You want a report a client can read. Limitations on page 1, a recommended order of work, evidence and a specific fix per finding.
Frequently asked
What is the difference between Intruder and ScanBastion?
Intruder continuously monitors your own infrastructure, cloud accounts and applications for new exposures. ScanBastion assesses client websites on demand, after verifying each domain, and produces a report per site that you can hand to the client.
Does ScanBastion monitor sites continuously?
Not in the first release. Scans run when you start them, within your plan's monthly allowance. Scheduled rescans are on the list for later.
Can I try it now?
The free headers and TLS checker works today. The full scan opens to early-access members first.
