Website Terms

These terms govern your use of scanbastion.com and the early-access list while ScanBastion is in development. They are deliberately short: there is no service to subscribe to yet. Separate terms of service, incorporating the Responsible Scanning Policy, will apply to the product when it launches.

1. Who we are

ScanBastion is operated by C. Kerger, 2476 Winifred Way, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States. Contact details are on the contact page.

2. Pre-launch status

ScanBastion is not yet available. Every feature, scan profile, integration and report described on this website is planned and may change or be dropped before launch. Screens and reports shown are illustrative and use sample data. Nothing on this site is an offer to provide a service, a commitment to a launch date, or a representation about the capabilities of a future product.

3. The early-access list

Joining the early-access list means we will email you when ScanBastion is ready for initial users, and only about that. It does not reserve a place, create a contract for the future service, or oblige either of us to anything. You can leave the list at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email. We may close or reset the list, or change how early access works, without notice. How we handle your address is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Using this website

You may browse this site and share links to it freely. You must not interfere with its operation, attempt to gain access to the server or to data that is not yours, submit sign-ups you are not entitled to make, send automated traffic to the sign-up endpoint, or use the site in a way that breaks the law. If you find a security problem, please report it as described in our security.txt rather than exploiting it.

5. Content and trademarks

The text, design, logo and illustrations on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not reproduce the site, the logo or the illustrative report pages to suggest an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist. Nuclei, OWASP ZAP and other named projects are the trademarks of their respective owners; naming them describes a planned integration and implies no endorsement by them.

6. No advice, no warranty

The content of this site is general information about a product in development. It is not security advice for your situation, and a description of what automated scanning can detect is not a statement about the security of any particular website. The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on the site or from its unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

7. Links to other sites

Where we link to third-party sites, such as the open-source projects we plan to integrate, we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the project develops. The date at the top of the page shows the current revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Nothing in this section deprives you of protections you have as a consumer under the law of the country in which you live.
